Explore the Museum’s first temporary space, generously donated by the Trust for Governors Island and located at the Admiral’s House in the Island’s Nolan Park. We’ve repurposed this colonial-era home to present an exhibition and an interactive feature, described below.

Climate Changers of New York

This photography exhibition features large-scale portraits of inspiring New Yorkers who are making a difference on climate. Photographs by David Noles; presented in partnership with the New York City Climate Action Alliance.

Create Your Own Climate Signal

Learn more about the Museum’s current citywide exhibition, Climate Signals by Justin Brice Guariglia, and create and share your own “climate signal” in this interactive room.

Thursday through Sunday, 11 am - 5 pm
***Our last day is this Sunday 10/28. We’ll be open from 11 am - 5 pm but stop by 1 - 3 pm for trick-or-treating as part of the annual Halloween celebration at Nolan Park on Governors Island!***

Governors Island is not accessible by vehicle or subway. You can get there on the Governors Island Ferry or the NYC Ferry.

From Manhattan: The Governors Island Ferry departs from the Battery Maritime Building, 10 South Street (click here for schedules). The NYC Ferry - East River Route also serves Governors Island on weekends only (click here for schedules).

From Brooklyn (weekends only): The Governors Island ferry departs from Pier 6 at Brooklyn Bridge Park on weekends only (click here for schedules). The NYC Ferry - South Brooklyn route also serves Governors Island on weekends only (click here for schedules).


Once you arrive at Governors Island, follow signs to Nolan Park. The Climate Museum Hub is located on the Northeastern corner of the Park.

While you’re on Governors Island, make sure to find the two nearby signboards that are part of our citywide Climate Signals exhibition by Justin Brice Guariglia, located by Castle Williams and Yankee Pier.
