The Youth Advisory Council (YAC) convenes high school and college students from across the New York metropolitan area. YAC members help envision the Museum's teen programs and design innovative ways to broaden the climate conversation.

In its first year, the YAC led a large youth contingent on behalf of the Climate Museum at the Zero Hour March for climate action in July, performed climate justice-themed spoken word poetry at our Climate Signals opening reception, volunteered at events, and more. We look forward to a busy and exciting 2019 with our YAC members.

If you are a high school student interested in applying to the YAC, please contact Claudia Villar at cvillar@climatemuseum.org.

“I am grateful to the Museum for enabling me to use my voice to fight the biggest issue confronting my generation: inaction against climate change. We need more climate arts programming for young people to not only educate and empower my generation, but also to activate others to stand by us and take action.”
