For Climate Speaks 2020, we offered workshops in all five boroughs on climate and creative writing.

In the climate workshops, participants learned about the basics of the climate crisis and its intersections with social justice from climate educators.

In the creative writing workshops, students worked with teaching artists to hone their creative voice and begin creating an original piece about the climate crisis.

Climate Speaks 2020 workshops were held at Urban Word NYC, The New York Public Library, the Brooklyn Public Library, and the Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning. These workshops were only open to high school students in the New York Metropolitan area.
