The Climate Museum Presents Talking Climate: Grief, a Discussion on Climate, Inequality, and Grief

New York, NY (February 8, 2021) — The Climate Museum presents Talking Climate: Grief, a free, online program on Friday, February 12 from 1-2pm EST. The discussion will confront the compounding crises of the global pandemic, racial inequality, and climate, looking at how grief has become a shared social condition, and what we can do to move toward collective action.

Talking Climate: Grief will examine the layering of loss and trauma that unevenly burdens communities across the U.S.. Like all of the Climate Museum’s programming, Grief aims to create ground for community-building, democratic engagement, and civic action.

The event will begin with a reading by poet Otaniyuwa Ehue. Moderated by Miranda Massie, Director of the Climate Museum.

Grief is the second installment of Second Fridays at the Climate Museum, a series featuring interdisciplinary panels delving into themes—such as Displacements, Grief, and Infrastructure—at the intersection of the climate crisis and different forms of inequality.
