Jacqueline Patterson

Jacqueline Patterson is the Founder and Executive Director of The Chisholm Legacy Project: A Resource Hub for Black Frontline Climate Justice Leadership. She currently serves on the Advisory Board of the Center for Earth Ethics, the Institute of the Black World, the American Society of Adaptation Professionals, the Bill Anderson Fund, the National Black Workers Center Project, the Hive Fund for Gender and Climate Justice, and the Emerald Cities Collaborative. She also currently serves on the steering committee for the Environmental Justice Movement Fellowship, and on the governance assembly for the Mosaic Momentum Fund and the Equitable Building Electrification Fund. Ms. Patterson is a respected researcher and author and her work as an activist and program manager has addressed racial, economic, and climate justice; gender justice; and HIV/AIDS. Prior to her current role, Ms. Patterson was the Senior Director of the NAACP Environmental and Climate Justice Program for 11 years. Ms. Patterson holds a MS from Johns Hopkins University and a MSW from University of Maryland Baltimore.
