Nicolle Jacoby

Nicolle is the co-head of Dechert’s Labor and Employment group. Her practice focuses on employment-related matters, including conducting internal investigations into allegations of employee misconduct and handling high-stakes discrimination cases, contractual disputes with executives, and non-compete, non-solicit and trade secret cases in the courts as well as in mediation and arbitration. Ms. Jacoby also regularly represents employers in proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, New York City and State Human Rights Commissions and other regulatory agencies. She counsels companies on managing whistleblower claims, high-risk terminations and severance arrangements; advises on compliance with federal and state anti-discrimination and other labor and employment laws; and drafts severance and employment agreements, and personnel policies and procedures. Nicolle represents clients in diverse fields including investment banking, financial services, media and entertainment, insurance, pharmaceuticals, and health care. Ms. Jacoby was recognized in Lawdragon's 2021 edition as one of "The 500 Leading U.S. Corporate Employment Lawyers" in America. Nicolle holds a BA from Brown University with honors (magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa) and a JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she was Articles Editor of the Comparative Labor Law Journal.
