Attendees heard from one of the journalists documenting the history of deception by fossil fuel companies, Geoff Dembicki, in this United States launch of his book The Petroleum Papers. Dembicki joined a conversation with Museum director Miranda Massie about his research into the history of lies, obfuscation, and manipulation by American oil companies. The book also highlighted the frontline activists fighting to get the truth out and the resilience of people directly affected by the work of the petroleum industry.

Books were available for purchase and signing, and wine and refreshments were served.
