Climate Justice from Principles to Policy: A Conversation with Kizzy Charles-Guzman

  • The Climate Museum Pop-Up 120 Wooster Street New York, NY, 10012 United States (map)

How do visions for a climate-safe and -just future take concrete form as policy? New York City can serve as a lens for thinking about how our societies can best operationalize climate justice imperatives. It's the largest city in the U.S., with a highly developed climate and climate justice infrastructure, in part occasioned by the response to Hurricane Sandy ten years ago.

Join Kizzy Charles-Guzman, the Executive Director of the NYC Mayor's Office of Climate and Environmental Justice–the umbrella agency for all of the City’s climate policy–for a look at the urgent challenges we face and the advances we can make at the municipal level.

Charles-Guzman will discuss these questions in dialogue with Climate Museum Director Miranda Massie, with a robust opportunity for audience Q&A.
