A cultural ripple effect that you can help scale.

Our programming empowers visitors to see their own agency and embark on meaningful civic action. An emotionally engaged, confident public will drive effective climate policy for a safe and just future.

Our most recent exhibition was the subject of a study by climate communications experts at George Mason University. Among other things, the study finds that the exhibition increased the following metrics for visitors:

  • determination to talk about climate,

  • hope in our ability to achieve climate progress together,

  • and understanding that ambitious policy is very popular.

Activating the climate supermajority.

A supermajority of US adults want bold action for climate justice, but self-silence due to a ubiquitous misperception of being in a small minority (Sparkman, et al., 2022). Climate Museum visitors leave ready to break the stultifying climate silence across our public culture.

A culture for action.

The Museum’s programming enhances visitors’ understanding, agency, and determination, creating an inclusive culture for action toward a safe and just future.
