Cultural Institutions as Climate Catalysts

  • Javits North 445 11th Avenue New York, NY, 10001 United States (map)

As trusted spaces for creativity, community engagement, and inspiration, cultural institutions such as museums are uniquely positioned to lead the conversation on climate change. This panel, hosted by the Climate Museum and the Yale Program on Climate Change Communication (YPCCC), will explore the vital role museums play in shaping public understanding and mobilizing action on climate issues. Panelists will discuss how the arts, storytelling, and immersive experiences within museums can spark hope, inspire action, and build a collective sense of responsibility for addressing the climate crisis.

Join us in exploring how museums can serve as critical platforms for creative climate engagement and catalysts for transformative change in the global effort to tackle the climate challenge. The panel includes Jennifer Brundage, National Outreach Manager, Smithsonian Institution; Anais Reyes, Senior Exhibitions Associate of Curation, Climate Museum; Mallika Talwar, Deputy Partnerships Director, Yale Program on Climate Change Communication; and Camilla Tham, International Partnerships Manager, Natural History Museum, London.
